Join a community roundtable meeting this spring and share your feedback with the Custer Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC). The community roundtable meetings will consist of small groups of five to 10 people, so community members and business leaders in the area can share what they need and what they think the CAEDC should focus on.
It was unofficially Custer Area Chamber of Commerce night at the Feb. 2 meeting of the Custer City Council, as the council approved a bevy of requests from the chamber as it begins to make plans for its summer activities.
Six requests were approved for the chamber, which dealt with the farmer’s market, off-road rally, July 4 celebration, an arts and crafts fair, Gold Discovery Days and the annual Studebaker car show.

The Custer City Council, at its Jan. 20 meeting, passed the second reading of its amended sign regulation ordinance, in which the biggest change sees the use of merchandise as signage prohibited. The approval of the second reading means the ordinance will now go into effect.
