The Custer County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Sheriff in Custer, SD. Starting pay is $26.32/hour uncertified or $27.59/hour certified, plus $1.00/hour night shift differential, with a full county benefits package. Duties include enforcing laws, responding to incidents, investigating crimes and accidents, serving legal documents, and supporting community safety. Applicants must be 21 or older, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and no felony or domestic violence convictions. South Dakota law enforcement certification is required or must be obtained within one year. Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
