Bobby Hamaker

Bobby Lee Hamaker was born March 8, 1947, in Crawford, Neb., to Tim F. and Ruth (Tolliver) Hamaker. He was a cowboy in the Ft. Robinson area.  Bobby proudly served in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge in 1969.
Bobby, of Custer, S.D., passed away Sept. 8, 2021, at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veteran’s Home in Hot Springs, S.D. He was 74.
He is survived by his wife, Roseellen Hamaker of Custer; sons, Grant Hamaker of Edgemont, S.D., and Donny Hamaker of Oral, S.D.; daughters, Cheryl Shook of Edgemont, Diane Hamaker of Rapid City, S.D., and Jody Tackett of Milford, Iowa; stepsons, Jacob Leeling of St. Paul, Minn., and Mark Leeling of Covington, La.; step-daughter, Myra Alexander of Custer; sisters, Mary Hattervig of Hot Springs, LuJean Haskvitz of Edgemont and Linda Olmstead of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 18 grandchildren;  twenty-two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and honorary grandchildren.
Memorial services were Sept. 14 at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
Committal services were Sept. 14 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, S.D.
A memorial has been established in Bobby’s name and may be sent to Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home, PO Box 812, Hot Springs, SD 57747.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
