Friends of the Library to meet Oct. 12

 

 

The Friends of the Hill City Library meet Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 10:15 a.m. at the Hill City Super 8 conference room.  Friends members Susan Duchek and Wilma Behm will share information about a new Writers Group in Hill City.

 

The group formed earlier this year and meets one afternoon each month at the Hill City Library Kids’ Annex. At each meeting, members of the group discuss what writing projects they are pursuing, what projects they would like to pursue or read from their recent work.  The group is open to others. Contact the Hill City Public Library for the next meeting date.

 

Behm will also talk about her latest book and writing experience.

 

The recent “Patchwork of Books Sale” was a huge success thanks to generous donations from the community and the sorting, organizing and alphabetizing preparations from the members. A visitor to the book sale from Spearfish was the winner of a framed print donated by the Jon Crane Gallery.

 

The public is invited to the next meeting and refreshments will be available.
