Tesla Rally rolls into town this weekend
Over 45 Tesla owners are gearing up for the Sound of Silence Tesla Road Trip Rally, which will take place in Custer this weekend. The event is being sponsored by the Custer Area Chamber of Commerce and is now in its 10th year, making it the only Tesla Road Trip Rally of its kind in the United States.
The chamber has invited Tesla owners to come and explore the beautiful drives that the Southern Black Hills has to offer.
The cars will be on display for viewing and questions Friday, May 17, from 3-5 p.m. in the parking lot of the Custer Chamber Area Office located at 615 Washington St. Later that evening, the Custer Area Chamber of Commerce will host a social mixer at the Custer Beacon from 5-7 p.m. to welcome the Tesla owners to town.
On Saturday, May 18, be sure to come downtown Custer to view the Tesla procession as the vehicles make their way from the chamber office to Crazy Horse for their annual banquet. Custer has a total of 30 charging stations, including the eight super chargers located behind Lynn’s Dakotamart—all of which have been paid for by Tesla.
