Ann Cuningham, a local writer and photographer, is back with yet another contribution to the anthology series Chicken Soup for the Soul: Well THAT was funny, which is available at all book sellers. This contribution marks her  20th story in 19 Chicken Soup for the Soul books.
“I think I’ve probably submitted three times as many stories to Chicken Soup for the Soul as I’ve had published. At least. It’s all about persistence and wanting to share your stories with the world, right?” said Cunningham.
Cunningham’s latest story, “Going to Pot,” is a humorous story detailing her experience with trying a neti pot to relieve a sinus headache.
She said she is usually inspired to write about her experiences “when something dreadful happens,” which often leads to some funny stories, but says that truly she is inspired by “everything in my life.”
Each writer featured in the series also has the option to use the books to raise money for an orginization or charity of their choice. For past books, Cunningham has raised money for the Custer Veterans’ Memorial and Battle Mountain Humane Society. She has not yet picked a cause for this one, but if there are any in need of support, she “would love to work with them,” said Cunningham.
Cunningham says she appreciates the books and the whole Chicken Soup for the Soul family for their support of her writing.
“I love knowing my story is reaching readers who needed a little laughter and hope in their day. I hope my words make a difference,” said Cunningham.
