Big Band Dance set for Friday

The Big Band Dance (BBD) is coming back to the Hill City School District Friday, April 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. This year the theme is A Night of Jazz, and the students are decorating Gins Gym in a 1920s style. 
Admission is $5, and everything raised goes to the school band account. These funds are then used for scholarships to send students to music camp, which is why the BBD originally started.

The Little White Church hosts Night of Worship

The Little White Church (TLWC) is hosting a Night of Worship April 28. It will start at 6 p.m. and go until around 8 p.m. or until finished. People can come join at anytime. 
Worship will be led by several groups from TLWC and include a blend of contemporary songs and hymns chosen to give glory to God. 
Although they have held nights of worship in the past, TLWC worship pastor Chuck Ferraro said this one will be less structured to create an open space for prayer and worship.

Cummins blesses Pillar Project winner

Stevie Cummins, owner of Jewel of the West in Hill City, created the Pillar Project as an annual award to bless and honor women who are resilient, supportive, selfless, courageous and stand strong under the pressures of life.
The award was inspired by Cummins’ own story of overcoming adversity, during which various people showed up to support her.
