10:22 p.m.: A highly-agitated tourist called to report hearing “turkey gobbling noises” and a gun shot near an east Custer campground. A deputy searched the area, finding no evidence of any fowl…er, foul play...

Monday, Sept. 8
11:21 a.m.: A vagrant was reportedly sleeping on a bench in front of a restaurant on Custer’s north Fifth Street. A deputy went there and asked the hobo to move on, which he did.

Tuesday, Sept. 2
4:51 p.m.: A missing 7-year-old child was reported in the Custer area. The kid was eventually located safe and sound after getting on the wrong school bus to go home and ending up on the wrong side of the county.
